About the Collection

THE FIGHT WITHIN

The Story...
Art has a way of telling stories words can't capture. The Fight Within steps into an uncomfortable space we sometimes avoid - the emotions we hold towards ourselves.

It explores the uncomfortable truths we may hide, from ourselves and others, capturing a battle to get go of any fronts we have created in our life.
This painting highlights that emotions can't be rushed - the demand to be fully felt, even the uncomfortable ones.

Grief, in particular, doesn't just dissolve when you try to push it away, it can resurface when you least expect it.
But grief isn't just about losing someone or something, you can also lose yourself.
This painting is about the personal, potentially messy journey to return to the version of yourself you love, which became lost in time.
It reflects the struggle to make peace with the parts of ourselves we've suppressed and rediscovering those missing pieces that make you, you.
